The programme from El Salvador that recently partnered with the PSA Foundation enjoyed a day of Halloween celebrations yesterday, topped off with the opening of all their new Rebound kit to play their favourite sport!
Squash Para Todos has a particular talent for thinking of innovative ways that they can encourage engagement from the local children of El Salvador. On this occasion, it was a Halloween costume contest, a treasure hunt, prizes for squash progression, music and more. They used some of the top rackets we sent over as prizes to rewards progression within their squash programme.
Being based in high risk communities for crime and anti-social gangs, it’s initiatives like these that evidence the positive impact that sport can have for younger generations. Guiding them onto a better path of career aspirations and an active and healthy lifestyle.
It’s rewarding to know the good our old unused gear at the back of the wardrobe can have if put into the right hands. It’s thanks to the generosity of the donors that give to our Rebound programme and members that we are able to jointly support programmes like these. It’s collaboration that keeps the squash world spinning!
