Women’s Squash Week a Great Success; Engagement from Across the Globe

The campaign has received some great exposure as clubs from around the globe hosted women and girls sessions to introduce more people to squash.

Check out just some of the events that were registered below:

Women’s Squash Week is an international celebration of squash and an opportunity to engage women in our sport across the world.
The 2019 campaign aims to address the gender gap in squash by encouraging more women and girls to get on court where only 35% of PSA Tour players are female and in England for example only 13% of weekly squash players are female.

Part of the campaign was the release of 5 daily values; EMPOWERING, FUN, SOCIABLE, INCLUSIVE AND LIFELONG. It was encouraged by bodies around the world to promote these values and engage conversation within the wider squash community on what makes squash special to them.

Check out the video’s below of World No. 13 Joshna Chinappa from India and World No. 19 Olivia Blatchford Clyne From the U.S. on some of their inspirations growing up to become a professional squash player.

With women and girls participation in squash being particularly low in some countries, these type of campaigns play a significant role in making squash accessible for everyone.
