PSA World Tour events are great aspirational setting for juniors with hopes of becoming a professional player, or just looking to be a lifelong recreational player.
On this occasion, ‘That’s My Game Squash’ (TMG) were given the opportunity to take 10 kids on a day trip to the DPD Open.
Since 2010 TMG Squash has been a big organiser and promoter of youth squash in the Netherlands. Every year they organise the TMG Junior Squash Series which consists of monthly youth events and the TMG Squash camp, among many other events and activities.
As part of the fun day, the kids were able to hang out with a selection of the world’s best PSA World Tour players, including brothers Mohamed and Marwan ElShorbagy, New Zealand’s Paul Coll, Wales’ Tesni Evans, Germany’s Raphael Kandra and France’s Camille Serme.
During this time, they were able to have Q&A’s with the players, play some rallies on the glass court, and take part in activities such as the Dunlop speed challenge and agility reaction cones.
If you’re involved with a junior section to a club or network of clubs and would like to take a group to a nearby tournament, please do get in touch at: foundation@psaworldtour.com
We like to encourage as many juniors as possible to make the most of our sport, so we try to create as much accessibility as possible to show those enthusiastic juniors the world of a pro squash player.
