PSA Tour (the professional squash tour) events are a great platform to be introduced to squash in style. The PSA Foundation is committed to leveraging the biggest platforms of our game to connect with new communities and introduce squash to more people.

All of our bookings are free of charge, as we look to share the enjoyment of playing squash with as many people as possible! We look forward to meeting you at a PSA event soon.

What does a school / youth group visit to a PSA event look like?

  • A 1-hour practical introduction to squash from a qualified coach. Depending on the space available, this may be on full sized courts or portable equipment such as pop-up nets or mini squash courts.
  • 30 minutes in the stands/seating watching a professional squash match.
  • 5-minute Q&A with one of the competing PSA players
  • 20 minutes getting to know the venue and for possible snack breaks.
  • We find 2 hours is a good amount of time for a group visit.

The Northern Joe Cup

The Northern Joe Cup is an event held in the memory of Joe Rawcliffe who passed away in 2020. Joe’s brother Isaac is a keen squash player, and the aim of this event is to raise awareness and money for the Brain Tumour Charity as well as promoting the sport.

Now in it’s 3rd year the Northern Joe Cup is a festival of squash that has something for everyone, and provides a fantastic opportunity to get involved in our great sport in Manchester and the North West.

This year’s event will feature a Men’s and Women’s Professional Squash Association (PSA) 9k Challenger Tour event which will attract a number of the world’s top 100 players.

Venue Address: Cheetham Hill Squash Club – 26 Catherine Rd, Manchester M8 4HF, United Kingdom

Groups should be no more than roughly 30 children per session booking.

Please Note:

  • You must give us at least 1 week notice of any cancellations, so that we can offer up any available spaces back out to the local community.
  • This offering is on an invite only basis. This page is not for wider public use. All bookings are reviewed and approved by PSA Foundation staff.

  • Please Note: While qualified squash coaches will be providing a safe and enjoyable introduction to the sport for your group, an appropriate number of guardians, teachers or chaperones are still required to be in attendance with the group and are still responsible for their general welfare. All of the coaches that we use are DBS checked and have completed safeguarding training.
