MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN THAN EVER BEFORE ON THE PSA WORLD TOUR

The 2016/17 season has seen an increase in both the number of tournaments and number of registered players across the Women's Tour.

A total of 71 Women's events were contested during the season - three more than during the 2015/16 campaign - taking place in 25 different countries, with the number of PSA W100, W70, W50, W35 and W10 events all increasing.

There were three brand new destinations this season namely Latvia - host of the Riga Ladies Open, Armenia - host of the Grand Sport Armenia 2nd Challenger W5 and Colombia - host of the Ciudad de Floridablanca.

Alongside the growth in events on the Women's Tour there has also been an increase in female players joining the PSA World Tour.

Records show that there are 262 players on the Women's Tour, six per cent more than the same point last year, with memberships expected to continue to rise across both the Men's and Women's game throughout the rest of 2017.
